"Thanks, although I think you make a better warrior then me." said Orangebriar smiling. He then brought up his paw and licked the rest of the cobwebs off, scrunching his nose together at the taste of the sticky strands. "Word of advice? Dont lick your paw, unless you`d like the taste of flys and spiders." he mewed, wincing at the buggy taste and instead just dabbing his paw on the sand.

"Oh, I dunno," she said, gagging at the buggy smell. "I wasn't the cat who climbed the tallest tree in the forest." She looked at the cats sitting in the clearing, and then back at him. "That was really, brave, you know. I would chicken out if someone even asked me to do it!" She laughed.

"Nobody asked me to do it; and just because I climbed a 'tall' tree dosent mean I love to eat bugs." laughed Orangebriar. Orangebriar then jumped at the sound of a deep howling, and then there was two more barks from the clearing. "Get down!" whispered Orangebriar, shoving himself to the sandy ground and crawling towards the center of the bush and onto the roots, were he was hoping his tabby stripes would blend in with the bushs branchs.

Blazecloud got down, her eyes wide with fear once again. "Oh no!" she whispered. "More cat-hounds? I thought our trouble had ended for tonight!" She layed down and stiffened, because she was hoping that her light golden pelt would blend in with the cold sand.

The two dogs from the clearing darted into the forest and started to pull there doggy friend from the brambles. The cats from the clearing took no notice, and the baldy-red-halo-thingy cat just kept on talking as the cathound scraped itself out of the brambles. The cathound shook its pelt, splattering drops of blood every were and making Orangebriar wince as a drop landed on his leg. At first he was fine with it; he knew he couldnt move and that was that. But after a few minutes, his leg started to feel numb, and he glanced back at his leg to see it surrounded by red fuzzy stuff, in which was floating around his leg in the air. The red fuzzy stuff was moving, like a swarm of gnats, but it didnt seem like it held life in it. Actualey, the longer Orangebriar held his leg with the blood on it, the more energy he could feel coursing through his body. But he was worried, for the red stuff was starting to move over to his hind-quarters, and he felt like that whole half of his body was about to collapse any moment. "I need to move." hissed Orangebriar, his eyes wide as he looked at Blazecloud. The cathound with the pink claws pricked up its floppy ears, stuck his nose into the ground, and began to sniff around the bush. Its other non-floppy eared brothers pricked up there triangler ears as well, and one started to sniff the tree Blazecloud and Orangebriar had crawled onto, and the other began to sniff a "suspicous" clump of grass.

Blazecloud looked at Orangebriar's leg, and then at him. "I'm going to make a distraction," she said. "While I let them chase me, run to the top of that tree over there and climb it. I'll chase all of the dogs into the brambles, and leap up there with you." She paused, and said, "Don't worry about me. Even if I do get hurt, I probably won't you know... die."

"No; your absolutley not going to try to kill yourself for me; and besides, even if you tryed to get away, they would probaly bite you, and then you`d be in even more pain than I`m in right now." growled Orangebriar, wincing in the middle of his sentance and almost losing his balance as the red swarm stopped for a moment and then began moving again. "Ok, maybe w-we can try another plan......We could face them? I dont know...thats the only 'plan' that I can think of right now, or atleast the only that wont make us both die in less than five minutes."

"Okay," said Blazecloud. "We will have to face them. But... what are we going to say?" She felt confused. What would she say to a group of cats that were evil? "I'll help you, if your leg doesn't budge," she offered. "That looks painful, with that fuzzy stuff around your leg!" She paused, and added, "And it probably very much is."

"Er.......it is....." mewed Orangebriar, trying to move his hindlegs. By now, the fuzzy stuff was around both his hindlegs, his belly, and almost to his shoulders. About a moment to soon as Orangebriar tried to move, he felt a jolt of searing pain like fire crawl up his spine, and he let out a silent yowl and feel to the ground. "Ow..." he muttered as he landed face-first into the sand, now frozen and very much unable to move. There was a deep but almost silent bark from above, and Orangebriar then felt a wet nose press down into his fur. The dog which had pressed his nose into his fur barked louder and gripped Orangebriars back with soft teeth, trying to pull Orangebriar away from the bush and into the shadows. "WOAH." screeched Orangebriar, only now realizing that the dog had him in his teeth and was trying to pull him out of the bush. Orangebriar struggled to get out of the dogs grip, but the more he struggled, the more the pain that had shot through his spine increased, and Orangebriar was forced to grip his teeth into one of the last branchs hanging off of the bush. Orangebriar watched in helplessness as another dog came over and started pulling Orangebriar by his hindquarters. The third and final dog with the pink claws growled and and weaved its way into the bush, slowly forming itself into an orange cat with almost the same stripes as Orangebriar, but with blue eyes. One of the dogs holding him barked and pulled Orangebriar tighter, backing up until the only thing from the bush Orangebriars was holding onto was a tiny leaf.

"Orangebriar!" cried Blazecloud racing towards the dog. "Let- him- GO!" she yowled thorugh clenched teeth, and knocked Orangebriar out of the dog's teeth. Loosing her temper and loving the battle, she slashed the dog with pink claws muzzle and bit into his leg, so hard that she could feel the bone. The dog howled, and ran off. She did the same thing to the other dogs, until she faced the blue eyed cat that almost looked like Orangebriar. "Fear me," she hissed silently.

Orangrebriar frowned, growled, then sighed. He had landed on his side on the dusty floor, and was watching the fight with calm eyes. Gathering all his strength, Orangebriar pushed himself up, and using his front paws and claws, he managed to drag himself over to Blazecloud. "Blazecloud stop......your going to more than these dogs soon." said Orangebriar, frowing and looking up at her with worry in his eyes. The cat-dog-thing with blue eyes, turned towards him and growled, and Orangebriar sighed, rolled his eyes, and unsheathed his claws. He quickly slashed down on the dogs neck and the dog gasped and fell to the ground. It was then that he saw a white flash on his claws, and he looked down to see that his claws were covered with sharp dog teeth. His eyes grew wide, and he closed his eyes and sheathed his claws, trying to ignore the shreak as the teeth rolled in with his claws.

"Oh..." said Blazecloud, letting the fur lie flat on her shoulders. "I must've gotten carried away..." She looked at Orangebriar's paw. "I'd expect that you'd need help getting those out," she said. She grasped one of the claws between her teeth and pulled. When it budged, she looked at Orangebriar and said, "Are you still in pain from that red fuzzy stuff?"

"I-I`m im fine." said Orangebriar, frowning, his eyes wide in shock from the dog claws. Its a good thing I was trained to take these off........I guess...., thought Orangebriar, slowly raising his paw and, using his teeth, took the rest of the dog-claws off. He then put his paw down and looked up at Blazecloud slowly, his eyes still wide.He then lifted his head and, trying the best he could, he ignored the imense pain and he stood up "What should we do now?" asked Orangebriar curtly, his eyes suddenly turning cold as he regained his stature.

Blazecloud looked around and said, "I thought you'd know." She looked back at the cats sitting in the clearing, and recognised Blackflight. "Somehow or another, we have to get Blackflight back to StormClan, or those cats back at the camp are going to turn plain lazy." She looked at Orangebriar and saw that he was stiffened. "You're still in pain," she said worriedly. "I'm going to take you to the medicine cat, and then we're going to come back and see what we can do." She saw him about to argue, but said, "I'm not going to bear knowing my friend's in pain. Now, if you're in too much pain to walk, then you can lean on my shoulder."

"I`m fine." siad Orangebriar through gritted teeth, and flicking up his ears, he quickly began to padd out of the forest. "Well, come on! Who knows what other creatures in here?" hissed Orangebriar, quickining his step at the thought of a big lizard with sharp teeth (AKA, a dragon xD) "So how are we going to get Blackflight to come back, you know, after we get back to camp?" he asked Blazecloud inquirly, shoting an amused glance at her.
