Silverheart shivered, fluffing out her coat to block the crisp night air from making her cold. Quickly and quietly, she crept out of the Warrior's Den. "'Evening," she said to the patrolling cat on night guard. "I'm going on a night hunting trip. Will you let me through?" The cat nodded. "Thank you kindly," said Silverheart, dipping her head and walking past him. The forest was filled with earthy smells, and Silverheart was enjoying it until she heard a rustle in the bushes. "Who's there?" she declared, her fur standing on end.

Rivetfall stretched, arching her her back so high that it hit the top of her damp cave. "Ow." she said, wincing and sitting down. Rivetfall then peeked her head outside, jumped as a light snowflake landed on her nose, then laughed. "Oh, wow. Getting scared by a snowflake? Pfffttt I must be old if I`m doing that!" laughed Rivetfall to herself, turning back inside her cave. Rivetfall then plucked a twig from the stony ground, and padded over to a small cavern were she kept a very small fire going. It was unusual for a cat to keep a fire around, or even have a small fire in there den, but you had to admit; Rivetfall was no usual cat. But besides, using a fire to make polituces made them taste better and healed other cats faster, and it also kept the den warm and dry for hurt or sick cats. Rivetfall poked the cinders with her twig, making sure that the fire wouldnt go out, then set the twig down and rubbed her paw along the top of it, making sure that the warmness of the tip wore off. "I`ll have to go get more catmint soon; Leafbares coming soon, so i better make sure i`m stocked for whitecough or greencough." she whispered to herself, padding away from the hushed fire and slipping out of her cave. Rivetfall padded quickly through the snow, then nodded in acknowledgement to a tom who was on guard. The cat snorted at Rivetfall then grinned, and Rivetfall gave him an amused look and padded away. "Toms." she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes. Rivetfall stuck her nose on the ground and sniffed for the catmint, narrowing her eyes as she felt for her nose for a dry spot on the ground; the best catmint grew in the dryest of places.

Silverheart's eyes widened as a muscular tom stepped out from the bushes. His green eyes glinted in the darkness, and Silverheart recognized him as Russetstorm, the dark ginger tom from SolarClan. "What are you doing here?" she hissed. Russetstorm simply gazed at her, amusement sparking his gaze. "W- What?" Silverheart stammered. "What's so funny?"

Rivetfall jumped as a bright leafy frond poked her nose, and she backed up and hissed to find herself getting mad at a clump of catmint. "Well! Its obvoius I`m stupid." she snorted, going back to the catmint and gnawing at the stems. Once Rivetfall thought she had gnawed enough, she pulled on the fronds, and she pulled the plant out; roots and all. "Oops; I guess I didnt gnaw enough. Well, I guess I can make a polituce with the roots." mewed Rivetfall, frowning. She bent down to pick up the plant, but before she could turn around to find her way back, she smelled the scent of Silverheart, one of Lunarclans warriors. Rivetfall gripped the catmint harder in her jaws, and climbed a tree, jumping from one to another and deciding to follow the she-cats trail. I wonder what shes up to, thought Rivetfall.

"Hello, Silverheart," said Russetstorm. "It's good to see you." "Good to see me?" said Silverheart. "We're from different clans!" Russetstorm's eyes suddenly were filled with sadness. "I know," he said sadly. "But, I can't stop thinking about you!" He turned to her. "Everyone's telling me to get a mate, but-" he paused and said. "But... you're the only one I think of when I think of she-cats I like!" When he saw Silverheart's look of exasperation, he said, "I know it's against the warrior code and all, but... I can't stope thinking about you!" Silverheart looked into his eyes. "I know..." she said. "And..." She paused. "I feel the same way."

Rivetfall had caught up with Silverheart, and she was now in a very tall oaktree, sitting above the two cats with worry and sorrow flashing in her purplish eyes. Uh-oh....these things always end tragically, although I would be lying to say I havent had my fare share with relationships, thought Rivetfall, staying silent and not making any movement so that her dappled coat wouldnt stand out and not look like the surrounding tree-tops. She had set down the catmint next to her, and she had dulled her scent by rolling in some leaves and spreading some mud on the brown spots of her fur, just so the mud wouldnt stand outout anywhere else. She had rubbed some leaves on the catmint also, but she hadnt put mud on it because she didnt want to be tasting that on the "journey" back to camp.

Russetstorm and Silverheart were lying on their backs, looking at the stars. "The stars are so beautiful," breathed Silverheart. "And look, there's Silverpelt." She pointed her paw to the long stretch of stars that shimmered in the sky. "Yeah," said Russetstorm. "I love how the stars shine in your eyes." Silverheart purred but had a flash of doubt and worry. Did StarClan know that she and Russetstorm were doing this? She leapt to her feet as she realized that the sun was beginning to rise. "I have to go," said Silverheart, brushing her tail along Russetstorm's side. "Dawn is breaking." "You will meet me here tommorow night, won't you?" asked Russetstorm, rasping his tongue over her ear. "Of course," sighed Silverheart. She turned around to go back to camp and said, "Bye."

Flipping up her ears in surprise, Rivetfall quickly yawned, picked up her catmint, shook the mud off her fur, and quickly began following Silverheart, jumping from tree to tree again, until she was a little bit ahead of Silverheart. Ha, maybe I can sneak up on her! thought Rivetfall, grinning to herself and jumping off of a birch tree. Rivetfall began to streak towards Silverheart, and once she spotted the silver tabby, she quickly jumped into a few bushs and began stalking the she-cat. Rivetfall gentley put her catmint in a small hole in the earth, turned towards Silverhearts direction, and then fluffed out her fur to look twice her size. She ran and pounced on her, holding her in a tight grip without using her claws, and managing to bite on Silverhearts ear without drawing any blood.

"YEOW!" Silverheart jumped around to see who it was and let her fur fall on her shoulders. "Oh, it's you, Rivetfall. What are you doing out this late? I was just night hunting, if that's what you're wondering." She stiffened at the suspicious look in Rivetfall's eyes, hoping that she hadn't seen her and Russetstorm.

Rivetfall switched her mode instantly, from "fight mode" to sly and suspicous, and then to cheerfull and joyfull. "I was actualey getting some catmint because I want to be prepared for leafbare; you know greencough and everythhhiinnngg." she sang, padding back over to the small hole in the earth and unraveling her catmint and coming back with it in her jaws. "So wereths your prey? Maybe I can help ju digth it upth." mewed Rivetfall, trying to get a few words past the catmint and its roots without no avail, and also knowing that Silverheart had infact no prey.

Silverheart let her fur lie flat. "Well, it is a little too cold for prey..." she trailed off as the wind blew and she shivered. "I'm gonig back to camp," she said. "Do you need help carrying your cat mint?"

"Jes pfleaze." meowed Rivetfall, setting the catmint down and slowly cutting it in half with the tip of her claw to make sure that none of the plants juices soaked out. Rivetfall picked up one half of the catmint and then grinned. "Shall we be heading back to camp now?" she asked, sitting up and flicking one ear in dismay.

Silverheart realised that she had drifted off to the thought of dark ginger fur and green eyes. "Oh, right," she said, picking up the cat mint. "Lethus get home" she said through a mouth full of it. They crept into the camp, careful not to disturb any sleeping cats. "Here you go," she said, putting it down in the medicine cat's den. She didn't meet Rivetfall's gaze, in fear of seeing lots of suspision in her eyes. "Goodbye," she murmured, stalking out of the medicine cat den. She layed down her nest in the warrior's den and silently thought, No one will ever know about me and Russetstorm. Ever.

I should probaly tell her I know....but then again, it is fun to mess with people!, thought Rivetfall, chuckling to herself and picking up the catmint Silverheart had carried. Rivetfall then padded inside her warm cave, into her sub-cave with the fire, and set both sets of the catmint down. She then carefully with her teeth, slowly tore the roots off, quickly padded out of the cavern with the catmint leaves in her jaws, shoved herself inbetween a crack were she kept her herbs, and set them down on the 'shelf' labled 'catmint'. She then plucked two leaves from her 'normal leaf' shelf and ran back to the catmint roots. Hmmmm.....I wonder what these do...., thought Rivetfall while wrapping the leaves around the roots.

Silverheart couldn't sleep. The thought of dark ginger fur and green eyes seemed to take over her... until she finally drifted off. She was walking among the forest, scents filling her nose and mouth from every angle. She came into a clearing, the stars shining above her, and she realized that the stars were beginning to form- into cats! She recognized these cats very much. "Mother?" she gasped. "Father?" Her mother and father stood in the clearing, their pelts twinkling with starlight. "Oh, mother and father!" she cried, racing towards them, but stopping when she realized that their gaze was sparked with dissapointment. "W-What?" stammered Silverheart, but her parents shimmered into nothingness and she woke up from her dream.
