WOLVES
[glow=red,2,300]CHAPTER ONE[/glow]
Ranks:
1. Alpha- the leader of the pack. Usally a male, unless circumstances are dire or rare. Is the highest ranking in the pack, and is normally well respected and the most praised among other pack members.
2. Beta- the second highest ranking in the pack. Beta is up in line for leading the pack, and will become the alpha if they 'retire' or die. Beta usally organizes the hunting, border, and fighting patrols. They are also like the 'sheriff' of the pack, and report all wrongdoings to the alpha for later on punishment.
3. Siblings - The siblings and mates of the alpha and beta. They are the 3rd highest ranking, and most are usally the leaders of a hunting, border, and fighting patrol.
4. Elders - Suprisingly, are the 4th highest ranking. Are the retired members of the pack, and is looked to for advice and famous legends and storys.
5. Warriors - The 5th highest ranking in the pack. They are the heart and soul of the tribe, and are involved in participating in all patrols (hunting, border, fight, herb, and fire patrols). They also have many responsibilities, depending on there heritage, religous standing (as in prophetic i guess xD) and fighting skills.
6. Learners - the apprentices of the pack. They are the sixth highest ranking in the pack. They learn as much as they can, and they learn about fighting skills, hunting skills, and religious skills.
7. Pups - the next generation of the pack. They are the seventh highest ranking, and there role is to learn as much as they can about there pack.
8. Queens - One of the lowest rankings of the pack. They help raise there young, and help give advice like the elders. They will also help make metal bands for there pup/pups with the omegas, medicene wolf, or alpha. These metal bands help them identify there young among a large crowd, and it helps the wolves later on when there carrying large prey or large items.
9. Omegas - The lowest rank in the pack. There are usally around a group of 4 or 5 omegas in one pack. These omegas make weapons, religous trinkets, and den additions out of metal, fur, bone, large leaves, and anything else they can find. Most wolves will treat them like scum, since they are the last ot eat.
10. Whip Dog - This wolf is barely considered to be a ranking. The lowest kind among them, these wolves usally have to show great respect when a high ranking wolf approachs them, either by bowing lowly to the ground or, twsiting themselves around on the ground with there belly facing upwards. If a low ranking wolf approaches them, they will extend a paw or dip there head in awknowlegement. They dont even get to have a share of the meal the tribe catchs, and they are only allowed to go out of camp for food other things 3 times a month.
OTHER RANKS
-----------------------------------
Medicene Wolf - The Doctor of the tribe. The help heal their tribemates, and are well respected among all tribes. They dont belong to a single pack, and are free to walk among them as long as another medicene wolf isnt there. If they encounter another medicene wolf, they must fight to stay in that pack unless they are reluctant. Medicene wolves usally are aggressive towards other wolves, and will avoid other medicene wolves from contact.
Messengers - and Unofficial rank, these warriors or siblings are chosen to send a message to another pack by there alphas. It is a very high honor.
Guardians - are usally the guardians of the Shadow Willow, where all the alphas, medicene wolves, and betas meet up at diffrent times once a month to meet up with their gods, sky ancestors, and other fallen ancestors. The Guardians are chosen by there leaders every five years by a hidden tournament, and are then sent to guard the Shadow Willow by all means neccasary. The shadow willow is located in the ghost forest.
this is the end of chapter one.
