[shadow=red,left,300] Chapter 1 (tigers chapter) [/shadow]
the orange striped cat walked across the house and jumped onto the window sill. he watched birds fly, and the wind blow the trees, 'i wish i could be out there!' he thought sadly. he turned around when he heard his person walk up behind him. "you hungry kitty?" the person set down a bowl full of pebble like food. the tom jumped off the window onto the ground and padded toward the food bowl. 'my name is tiger.' he bent down to eat the food. 'i live with my people.' he began eating. 'my life sucks, i know.' he looked up at the window while eating. 'i wish for a better one...' tiger sat back up. 'but this is what I'm stuck with.' he turned around and walked away from the food. 'i have to admit, its kind of nice-' he sat down as his person leaned down to pet him, '-getting scratched, free food...but i think it could be better...' he looked down sadly. 'i always feel so restless...' he began to wash his fur. 'i cant help but look out the window every morning.' he stopped cleaning and jumped back into the window. 'but its so beautiful!' he sighed and watched the action out the window. tiger puffed up when something caught his eye. "what the..." he whispered. there was a white spotted cat running down the street beyond his fence. the cat seemed to notice him too. "wow!" he gasped. he lay down slowly and shook his head with wonder. he watched the cat once again before it became out of sight. he thought about the cat dreamily. 'she was so fast-' tiger jumped up surprised when he heard a loud yowl. he sat up and looked down into his yard and spotted the gray cat. he ducked down a bit, ashamed. 'uh oh, its Dawn...' he thought warily. he leapt down from the window sill and meowed at the back door. soon his person came over and opened the door for him. 'ha! works everytime...' he laughed. he ran outside toward a bush. dawn was waiting underneath. 'oh dawn...i mean, she is cute but that other cat-' he thought about the spotted cat again. he was not paying attention when he realized he was under the bush. dawn began to get angry. "TIGER." she hissed. ducked down from the unexpected sound. "sorry!" he meowed annoyed. he sat back up, now angry at her. "you don't need to be so mean about it!" he growled. dawn looked back at him softly. "I'm sorry, lets go get something to eat." tiger glared at her. "you know i already ate." dawn narrowed her eyes. "then lets it something better!" she hissed angrily. she stood up and started walking away. "come on." she said more calmly. tiger sat back stubbornly. "uh, dawn, i need to talk to you about something." dawn happily sat down to talk. "yes, tiger?" she meowed. tiger looked away sadly. dawn tilted her head worriedly. tiger paused for a moment then finally looked up. "i don't love you." he spoke. dawns ears flattened. "w-what?" she whispered. tiger stood up. "I'm sorry." he said sternly, then walked away toward his house. dawn looked down from disappointment. 'something sparked inside her that day...' dawns softened eyes turned into a cold glare. 'something bad...' she burned inside as she watched tiger walk away. 'then, i had thought it was a good idea, but i was terribly wrong.'
